Christmas was amazing! Family-packed, food-heavy, laughter-filled chaos. The kind of day where you eat your body weight in stuffing and still ask for dessert. And I’ll own it: I cooked, and yes, I crushed it. Zero regrets.
But today? Today was for recalibration. Not in the punishment sense (this isn’t a diet ad), but more like shaking off the gravy and getting my legs moving again. 9 kilometers on foot, 11k steps, and a whole bunch of pausing to snap photos because, let’s be honest, when the sun hits the water like that, you stop.
That lone duck? Probably judging me for stopping so much. The forest? Whispering, “Slow down, you missed this moss yesterday.” And that last shot, pure sun sparkle on the water, felt like nature clapping me on the back, saying, “Nice hustle, human.”
Fitness isn’t just about burning off the feast. It’s about showing up, even with a full belly and a slight holiday hangover. It’s about blending movement with moments that make you stop and just breathe.
