Can't but agree. I've always been pro-20%. The reason why they wanted 15% was to keep people away that were just coming to hive to invest, reap the 20% APR, and add no value. There's a valid point in that, but many of us on Hive came for the money and stayed for the community.
With a 6% APR, why would anyone even come? On the contrary, a lot will leave, or at least remove their HBD savings, as good curation will get you a higher APR. And it is a good thing that there will be more/better curation then (we hope), but we don't want to tip the boat either...
Which is why I (and my @botlord witness) am also for (temporarily) lowering it to 12%, but mostly to clean up HBD spillage where it really matters (DHF anyone?).
