Sometimes technology is amazing. It makes life easier, and we wonder how we ever got along without it. Other times it's frustrating to no end might question its existence.
I was checking out features of a room I rented and had been staying in, and it seemed great in theory. The TV was set up to give you information of surrounding attractions where you're traveling. It was supposed to let you mark your room as private or ready for room service. That's great, except it endlessly kept spinning on the "Saving..." screen and never did anything.
So, I ended up having to grab a random piece of paper, stabbed a hole through it with a pen and wrote "DO NOT DISTURB" on it. I then slipped it over the door handle to my room, because the room didn't come with a door hangar like every other hotel room.
So much for technology. Sometimes low tech is better.
