He estado un tiempo sin poder publicar en Hive por otras ocupaciones, pero estoy de vuelta para participar en la iniciativa Observa, Piensa y Escribe y, al ver la foto, enseguida se me vino a la mente algo que escribir sobre ella. Diciembre es uno de los meses que más me gustan, porque para mí significa compartir en familia, reunirse con seres queridos en la mesa mientras comemos nuestro plato tradicional venezolano y, sobre todo, por las decoraciones navideñas.
En mi casa le damos más importancia y peso al Nacimiento que al propio arbolito de Navidad, pero no se puede negar que este símbolo navideño atribuye mucho a estas fechas, sobre todo por las luces y su decoración, lo que invita a contemplarlo por muchas horas.
Además de que cuando se empieza a armar, también es un momento especial que se hace en familia. En mi casa cada uno de nosotros tiene su función. Mi esposo es el que arma el árbol de Navidad mientras que mi hija @pannavi es la que se encarga de colocar las luces alrededor del árbol y yo me ocupo de la decoración, o mejor dicho, de cómo quiero que quede decorado.
Generalmente lo decoramos con bolas navideñas de colores vivos, también con algunas flores, pero lo que más lleva son luces de Navidad. Luces de colores que al tener bastantes, prefiero decorarlo poco porque las luces en sí le agregan mucho.
Nosotros somos de los que pensamos que menos es más. Pero este año no hemos colocado el arbolito navideño por dos razones, una es porque no tenemos las luces para decorarlo y porque están demasiado costosas para hacer la inversión y la otra es porque mis ánimos no están muy altos en estas fechas.
Quisiera compartir una Navidad con mi hijo mayor nuevamente y creí que este diciembre sería diferente, pero no. Él me hace mucha falta y cada año anhelo mucho reunirme con él al menos por unos días. También extraño compartir con mi familia, mis padres (que en paz descansen) y mi hermana que está en Ciudad Bolívar.
Cada año nos reuníamos fijo en la casa de mi mamá para el 23 de diciembre que era el cumpleaños de mi viejita, el 24 la pasábamos en casa y el 25 nos íbamos a casa de mi suegra a pasar el día.
Estas son fechas importantes para compartir en familia y si la familia falta, algo en nuestros hogares también. La alegría de la Navidad es contagiosa, pero cuando existen circunstancias ajenas a nuestra voluntad que interfieren con nuestros planes, es difícil sentir ese espíritu navideño.
Por eso me enfoco en experimentarlo más espiritualmente, yendo a misa y compartiendo en familia la corona de adviento cada semana hasta que llegue el 25 de diciembre. Yo espero y deseo que ustedes pasen una feliz Navidad en familia, con todos sus seres queridos. Que se abracen mucho y compartan momentos alegres e inolvidables.
Es importante disfrutar de estos días, porque todo cambia con los años y por más que uno quiera que todo siga igual, el tiempo sigue su curso y marca el camino. Ya para terminar, quiero darle las gracias a la comunidad por permitirme participar y también espero estar más activa dentro de la blockchain. ¡Feliz Navidad a todos!

December is one of my favorite months because, for me, it means spending time with family, gathering with loved ones around the table while we eat our traditional Venezuelan dishes, and especially because of the Christmas decorations.
In my house, we give more importance to the Nativity scene than to the Christmas tree itself, but there's no denying that this Christmas symbol adds a lot to the holiday season, especially because of the lights and decorations, which invite you to admire it for hours.
Besides, putting it up is also a special moment that we do as a family. In my house, each of us has a role. My husband puts up the Christmas tree, while my daughter @pannavi is in charge of placing the lights around the tree, and I take care of the decorations, or rather, how I want it to look.
We usually decorate it with brightly colored Christmas ornaments, some flowers, but what it has most of are Christmas lights. Since we have quite a few colorful lights, I prefer to keep the decorations minimal because the lights themselves add so much.
We're the kind of people who believe less is more. But this year we haven't put up a Christmas tree for two reasons: one is that we don't have the lights to decorate it, and they're too expensive for us to invest in; the other is that my spirits aren't very high this time of year.
I'd like to spend Christmas with my oldest son again, and I thought this December would be different, but it wasn't. I miss him terribly, and every year I long to be with him, even if just for a few days. I also miss spending time with my family, my parents (may they rest in peace), and my sister who lives in Ciudad Bolívar.
Every year, we would get together at my mom's house on December 23rd, which was her birthday. We would spend the 24th at home, and on the 25th we would go to my mother-in-law's house for the day.
These are important dates to share with family, and if family is missing, something in our homes is also missing. The joy of Christmas is contagious, but when circumstances beyond our control interfere with our plans, it's difficult to feel that Christmas spirit.
