Last month I visited a coffee shop—a place I’d never been to before, but I absolutely loved it. The decor, the outdoor setting with a beautiful terrace to enjoy the cool weather while sipping that delicious coffee, and a very vintage indoor atmosphere.
Not to mention the menu. An extensive selection of sugar-free and gluten-free desserts, some 100% vegan, a variety of sourdough pizzas, and of course the wide range of coffee options I love to discover at new coffee shops I visit.
Pleasant background music. Outside, there was a TV playing music videos that contrasted with the indoor atmosphere. The service was spectacular. To be honest, the place gets a 10/10.
I fell in love with the place. So I decided to try a delicious pizza—since I’d spent the morning running errands and handling paperwork—paired with a cappuccino that was absolutely delicious.
I lost myself in the foam of this delicious coffee. The pizza’s soft crust and its perfectly distributed toppings.
It was time to pay the bill. The waitress brought me the check and simply said, “That’s 12.”
There are four types of coins in circulation in my city. And for some strange reason, I thought it was a much smaller denomination (equivalent to $3 for the small pizza and two cappuccinos). It was so embarrassing when the waitress took the money and said, “Sorry, that’s $12.”
I blushed. I wanted the ground to swallow me up—it was such an awkward moment for me. I took my 12,000 pesos, feeling completely embarrassed, and handed her the $12. Ever since that day, whenever I go to pay a bill, I ask what currency they’re charging me in. I don’t plan on making that mistake again! 😓

Saludos amigos amantes del café! Sean bienvenidos una vez más a mi blog, en esta oportunidad para contarles una de las anécdotas más vergonzosas que me pasó en una cafetería en mi ciudad.
El mes pasado visité una cafetería, un lugar que no conocía pero me encantó. Su decoración, su ambiente exterior con una bella terraza para disfrutar de el clima fresco mientras bebes ese delicioso café y un ambiente interno muy vintage.
Ni hablar del menú. Una amplia carta con postres sin azúcar, sin gluten, algunos 100% veganos, variedad de Pizzas con maza madre y por su puesto la variedad de presentaciones de café que me encanta conseguir en las cafeterías nuevos que visito.
Un fondo músical agradable. Afuera estaba la tv con videos musicales diferentes al ambiente del interior. La atención espectacular. Para ser honesta el lugar 10/10.
Quedé enamorada del lugar. Así que me aventuré a probar una deliciosa pizza, ya que pasé la mañana haciendo trámites y documentos, acompañada de un capuchino que estaba delicioso.
Me perdí en la espuma de este delicioso café. La masa suave de la pizza y sus ingredientes perfectamente distribuidos.
Llegó el momento de pagar la cuenta. La chica me trajo la cuenta y solamente dijo: son 12.
En mi ciudad circulan 4 tipos de monedas. Y por alguna extraña razón pensé que era una denominación mucho menor (equivalente 3$ por la pizza pequeña y 2 capuchinos) fue muy vergonzoso cuando la chica de la cafetería voy el dinero y me dijo: disculpa son 12$ dólares.
Me sonrojé. Queria que la tierra me tragara, fue un momento tan incómodo para mi. Recibí mis 12 mil pesos con toda la vergüenza y le entregué los 12$. Desde ese día cuando voy a Pagar alguna de mis cuentas pregunto en qué moneda me están cobrando. No pienso volver a equivocarme! 😓
