Winter pajamas for girls | Tutorial [Eng-Esp]

Greetings, fellow craft lovers! Welcome back to my workshop @bricolajedc. Today, I’d love to show you how to make a pair of winter pajamas for a little girl.

Saludos amigos amantes de las artes manuales! Les doy la bienvenida una vez más a mi taller @bricolajedc, en esta oportunidad me encantaría compartir con ustedes la elaboración de una pijama de invierno para niña.

Materials

1 meter of peach-skin print fabric
1/2 meter of solid peach-skin fabric
32 centimeters of 1-centimeter-wide elastic
Thread
Needle
Tape measure
Scissors 1 meter of 1-centimeter-wide embroidered lace
Pattern paper

Materiales

I decided to make my daughter a pajama set with a long-sleeved top—perfect for winter but light enough to wear any time of year. This is the first time I’ve made a garment with this long-sleeved design. I used the pattern from one of her pajamas and added 3 centimeters to each side to make sure it will fit her for a while longer, since my daughter is still growing.

I made the sleeves and pants using the printed fabric.

Me propuse a hacerle una pijama a mi hija, con blusa de manga larga, perfecta para el invierno pero fresca para usar en cualquier ocasión. Es la primera vez que realizo una prenda de vestir con este diseño de manga larga. Hice el molde de una de sus pijamas, aumentando 3 centímetros de cada lado, para garantizar que le quede ppr un tiempo más ya que mi hija está en crecimiento.

Las mangas y el pantalón los hice con la tela estampada.

Once I had cut out the first pieces, I made the center panel of the blouse using the solid-colored fabric. After cutting out all my pieces, I set about sewing them together.

Una vez que tenía las primeras piezas cortadas hice la parte central de la blusa con la tela unicolor. Ya cortadas todas mis piezas me dispuse a unirlas.

I sewed a simple stitch, with the right sides of the fabric facing each other, all the way around the edge of each piece, and then back along the opposite side where the first stitch had been made. First, the sleeves.

Hice una puntada sencilla, enfrentando el derecho de la tela, por todo el contorno de cada pieza y luego regresé por el contrario donde pasó la primera puntada. Primero las mangas.

Then I sewed the center of the blouse together, and from the back of the pieces, I attached the sleeves. It was starting to take shape.

Luego uní el centro de la blusa y por el reverso de las piezas uní las mangas de la blusa. Comenzaba a tomar forma.

After finishing one of the sleeves, I sewed on the other sleeve to complete the blouse.

Después de tener una de las mangas lista, procedí a unir la otra manga para terminar la blusa.

Pants are one of the easiest items to put together. I love this fabric—I got it for $3 a yard, and it feels soft, cool, and warm all at once.

El pantalón es una de las piezas más sencillas de unir. Me encanta esta tela, pude conseguir en 3$ el metro y se siente suave, fresca y abrigadora al mismo tiempo.

Once I had sewn the pants together, I left a 1.5-centimeter hem so I could thread the elastic through using a safety pin.

Una vez que tenía el pantalón unido dejé un borde de 1 centímetro y medio para poder pasar el elástico con ayuda de un imperdible.

To add the finishing touches, I attached the lace to the hems of the pants and the collar of the blouse. I sewed it on tightly to keep it from coming loose.

Para dar los últimos toques, coloqué el encaje en los bordel del pantalón y en el cuello de la blusa. Hice una costura apretada para evitar que se suelte.

Since I had some fabric and elastic left over, I made a hair tie with a small bow. I cut a piece of fabric 4 centimeters wide by 30 centimeters long and sewed the ends together on the back side of the fabric. I turned it inside out and threaded the elastic through using a safety pin.

I closed it with a stitch and attached the bow.

Como me sobró tela y elástico hice una moñera con un lazo pequeño. Corté un trozo de tela de 4 centímetros de ancho por 30 centímetros de largo y uni el extremo por el reverso de la tela. Le di la vuelta y pasé el elástico con ayuda del imperdible.

Cerré con una costura ya pegué el lazo.

I loved working on this project. I feel so satisfied every time I see a DIY project come together. My daughter was thrilled with her new pajamas. I hope you’ll give making your own pajamas a try to save a little money—pajamas like these cost $20 to $25 in stores, but if you make them at home, they’ll only set you back about $6. Me encantó trabajar en este proyecto. Me siento muy satisfecha cada vez que veo terminado un trabajo DIY. Mi hija quedó encantada con su pijama nueva. Espero que se animen a realizar aus propias pijamas para ahorrar un poco de dinero, una pijama como esta tiene un costo de 20 a 25$ en las tiendas, si lo hacemos desde casa tendremos un gasto de 6$ aproximadamente.
