Train up a child the way he should go so that when he grows, he or she will not depart from it. When we train our child in the ways of the Lord, when the child grows up he or she will never depart from going according to the way of God.
The Bible has already given us ways on how to train up a child. What we expose our children to at their early stage of life is what they will be able to believe. The kind of training, exposure to our environment is what might lead them and guide them through.
If these children are well equipped with the word of God they will be strong in the faith and they will live a Godly life when they grow up. But if they are not well equipped with the word of God they will deviate and go astray and live a reward life.
When they live a rewarding life they might get into depression because they were not brought up properly in the word of the Lord. We have been told that children are the heritage of the Lord. They are a blessing to us and they are a reward that comes from God. Because it is a reward that is coming from God we should treat it as a very important thing by guiding them and teaching them the way of the Lord.
We should teach them how to live according to the will of God. They need to learn things that can make them a better person. They need to be useful to the society. If not, they will not be able to live a good life. When they are mature and they are not useful to society they might get depressed. They might feel left behind.
When we understand this as believers and know how the world works then we can equip our students to be able to overcome challenges and to live up to themselves so that they don't get depressed later on in their life.
