The disciple is someone who learns the doctrines and the ways of his or her Master and follows the same. As the disciples of Jesus Christ, we are those who follow his doctrines and his ways. Following the doctrines of Jesus Christ involves our studying the Word of God and then obeying those thoughts which we have learnt from the Bible. When we obey the commandments of God, we will be his true disciples.
A disciple who lives contrary to the doctrines of Jesus Christ is not a true disciple of Jesus Christ. When we refuse to obey the commandments of God, it is self-deception to still count ourselves as the disciples of Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ told us that it is not all those who call Him Lord, Lord will enter His kingdom. It is those who obey the commandments of God that are his true disciples. To be a true disciple, discipline yourself everyday to obey the commandments of God.
Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Those who do not obey the commandments of God will not enter the kingdom of God. We all expect to be part of the kingdom of God. If you obey the commandments of God, you will be accepted in the kingdom of God. Anyone who obeys the teachings of God is the one who is the true disciple of Jesus Christ. And it is only the true disciples of Jesus Christ that will make it to the kingdom of God.
