If there is one thing that I have learned about this life, it is that sometimes those mistakes that you made and end up crying over them, they end up being the things that you will find yourself thanking God for, So this is something that happened to Taye, At the time that it happened, he didn't see anything funny about it.
So Taye was the first child of his family with two younger silblings, Ola and Joke, so they were the kind of siblings that didn't mince words; they tell you how it is without sugar coating wheather you liked to hear it or not, they would say it with their full chest.
Taye was into photography, it was not the casual type of photography,he was into big events coverage and all, he was an actual professional photographer that people sought out in the photography industry. His camera was one of his important possessions, he never jokedwithh it, he had saved for several months to get it, and everyone in his house knew that and always respected his stuff, They don't touch or take his things without permission.
One evening, Taye came back from work and casually mentioned that he had borrowed someone his camera, and the reaction he gotnwas immediate.
"What! You did what?" Ola asked , he was almost shouting.
"I borrowed someone camera." Taye repeated himself like it wasnt a big deal.
"He's a friend, ... well, let's say someone I met recently, but he seems like a cool person, and he needs it for an urgent shoot."
Ola shook his head immediately.
"Bro, that is a big mistake you have made, You know that people do not respect what they did not suffer for. I hope you do know that."

Seriously...... even Taye was not completely comfortable with the thing, but the guy Kunle was someone he had met a few weeks ago at an event, they talked and exchanged contacts, and then somehow they became friendly. When Kunle had asked to borrow his camera, he had hesitated, but something in him said yes.
Then three days later, Kunle returned the camera, everything looked fine, there were no scratches, no damage, it was then that Taye relaxed.
When he decided to power the camera on, it was then he noticed something strange.
"The setings,,, why are they different?" he muttered.
Kunle smiled casually.
"Oh, I adjusted some things there, I hope you don't mind that I did. I have a thing for some configuration i do like to use."
Taye forced a smile but inside him he was annoyed and this was because that camera settings was one he had carefully customised over time, now someone had gone to change them without asking him first.
After Kunle had left their house, Ola noticed his mood. "See i told you that something was going to happen. Sha, check well, let it not be that something big has spoilt there."
Then for a moment Taye felt like resetting the whole thing,bt curiosity stooped him.
"Let me First test it tomorrow" he said to himself.
The next day he had a small photoshoot booking, it wasnt anything major, just portraits, he decided to use the camera the way knle had returned it to him.
It was then everything changed, the photos came out really sharp, in fact sharper, the colors looked richer , the exposure ,balance was better than what he always used.
Taye zoomed into one of the pictures
"Wait what?" he whispered to himself
Then he Checked another one
His heart was just beating in fascination.
That evening he called Kunle.
“Guy..... what did you do to my camera?" Taye asked him.
Kunle laughed, cos he could tell from the previous day that Taye wasn't happy. But he didn't say anything to him.
“ Oh boy, i did not do anything to it, I just optimized the settings , you know you were really under utilizing that camera.”
“Under utilizing? Really? " Taye repeated, shocked.
“Yes nau, you know that that model can do more than the things that you were getting from it, but I will show you properly if you want me to.”
That was how their friendship changed.
Kunle was not just a random guy anymore , he was actually a very skilled professional photographer , the day he came for Taye's Camera he actually couldn't use his own cos he had forgotten it at his mom's place, then over time he started mentoring Taye teaching him his techniques, lighting adjustments and advanced configurations Taye never even knew existed.
One evening while reviewing some photos Joke walked in.
“Bro are these are your pictures?" she asked.
Taye smiled proudly.
“Yes o ”
She looked impressed.
“Oh wow, okay looks good… maybe borrowing someone your camera was not a mistake all.”
Ola nodded slowly too.
Taye laughed.
“Honestly I thought it was my mistake that day but it turns out… it was my one good mistake.”
Because if he had not said yes…
He would not have discovered this new skills he now had.
He would not have improved his photography work.
He definitely would not have met someone who helped push his photography to another level.
Sometimes life hides blessings inside decisions that look risky at first.
Sometimes… the mistake you fear the most becomes the turning point you needed.
