My Rose of Sharon shrub loves the heat. Aka warmer weather. Last month we had a lot of deep soaking rains afterwards it warmered up into the mid 90F degree temperatures.
The Rose of Sharon started layering on the buds and has been solid with flowers ever since.
I love sitting out on the back porch watching all the birds and noticed several hummingbirds visiting the Rose of Sharon flowers. They must really like the pollen and are attracted by the btight color.
I had planted five of these plants several years ago. This one is by far the tallest. The nest is just three feet tal but did put out a few flower blooms. Two did not last past the first year and the other one is basically still a two foot one stalk with three or four leaves. Clearly this ones loved where it is located.
The color stands out from all the other plants around with the pink/purple colored blooms.
