Let’s go hit the trails here at Nipika Mountain resort! There is an amazing amount of hiking options around here, but the main reason Nipika exists is primarily for Winter cross-country skiing. The trails are groomed for this purpose, nice and wide; with easy, moderate, and harder options available. This is my first time hiking a cross-country ski area, and honestly I really loved it. Imagine actually coming here in the Wintertime, I will plan to do that sometime. It has been a long time since I’ve put skis on. Have you ever tried cross-country skiing?

The black and white suggests the snowier intent for how this area was designed ... one can imagine what you describe far easier ... it seems that winter may never touch those delicately balanced colors in the color pictures, but that they may stay so softly perfect in the autumn light forever ...

Just looking at the first photo, one can fall in love with the site, those mountains in the background with the pines and the blue sky, simply invite you to go hiking but with a good camera, not so expensive or heavy, one that is light to get good photos, like the one you are placing in this publication.

Sometimes lugging around those heavier cameras (and lenses) might be a nuisance. That being said, I also had a dslr along with, but all in all, it's not all that heavy. Thanks for stopping on by.

Those are beautiful pictures, what a pretty place. I've never done cross country on skis only downhill. I've know lot of people who love it though! Someone has a nice little cabin in the woods there, that would be fun to have a place like that!

Snow skiing you mean? In this particular area? But it's all covered in green trees, so how can you skii somewhere like this during the snow?

Cross-country skiing is much different than "down hill" skiing at Sunshine village. Go to YouTube and type in cross country skiing vs downhill and you can see the major differences. Hiking in the summer, "cross-country" or downhill skiing in the wintertime. Thanks for stopping by.
