I was feeling in an adventurous mood this morning, so I planned a cycling route around our town visiting several of our parks in one ride. It was hot again and very humid, too, which made it quite uncomfortable towards the end of the ride.
Starting off heading for Ifield Mill Pond. Negotiating a narrow footbridge, only just passable by bike.
The wild birds were having a rest in the heat.
Next, another bridge over the main road into Buchan Park.
I was enjoying this adventure, which took me via some tracks that I have not ridden in a while. To get out of Buchan Park I left via a different route this time through a gap in the border fence.
I had to take a few roads now to get to Broadfield Park. This park also has an artificial lake like most of the lakes here in our town parks.
After crossing a main road at some traffic lights, my next destination was Tilgate Park. I took a nice long route around the outer forest areas. There were a few other riders out there today. There are so many downhill tracks to enjoy here.
There was a fishing session at the main lake today. I am amazed how much equipment some of the fishermen have to lug with them! 🤣
My last park visit was just a quick pass through Goffs Park on my way home after a very enjoyable ride.
