It was time for a mountain bike ride!
I have left it more than two weeks since the last ride, with so much going on I couldn't find the time or effort.
Todays weather was cloudy, cold but dry.
The theme today seemed to be tunnels!
I took a route off road, taking in some ofvour many tunnels which provide a good relief from crossing roads here around town.
I was heading for Tilgate Park. As itvis still the holiday season, the park was quite busy with families. But the lake looked very cold and uninviting.
I took a quick tour of the more firm parts of the park, although it was surprisingly dry as we have not had rain for about a week. Titmus lake looked calm.
There are some beautiful views around this park even in midwinter. Everywhere looks ready to sprout and just waiting for spring. There has been talk of snow, so it might be delayed somewhat! 🤣
I was beginning to get cold, so it was time to head back. On the way I snapped a few more obstacles to be negotiated. I took a wooded track that normally would be too soft to cycle but today it wasn't too bad.
