The meadows are looking really beautiful right now, with all the rain lately, the grass and wild flowers are flourishing.

I spotted an Elder bush in full flower and smelling wonderful! Both the berries and the flowers make very good wine. My father used to make it, and was very good at it too, winning competitions with his home made brews.

My activity went up a notch today. The school walk was a definite contribution to this, luckily a dry one this time but there were some hefty rain showers around.

I did dabble in wine making for a few years but after moving home many, many times I have not continued with it. It takes great patience and cleanliness but with practice you can get good at it. 🍷

Wow thanks for the trivia. Homemade brews sound fascinating. Did you ever learn to make the brews yourself? 😆 Having rain is great. Home made wine is so easy to make really. I did make it a long time ago, it takes just a little patience and keeping everything very clean to prevent contamination by bugs, bacteria etc. An airlock is essential too to prevent oxidation.
