Livin Up With My Name For Small Mana Battles

in Splinterlands3 days ago

Hello Splinterlands Summoners

Another week has passed, so here we go again with my new weekly Splinterlands post. The last couple of weeks have been hard for me, some horrible and disastrous event hit my life harshly and that has made unable to play Splinterlands well... In term of I am not getting enough time to play, and when I have, I do not have the right mind to play it.

So as the result, I have been playing badly. I lose a lot, failed to finish my tournament, get into the brawl with poor result. Yeah, things do not work well in Splinterlands too, however...

I always say that small mana cap battle is my forte... This is the however part... Even I lose a lot, my winrate drops a lot, but I still win a lot in small mana cap battle.

So this is my topic for today post, I live up my name in Small Mana / Low Mana Battles.

Well, I can be lying about this, but let me prove my words here. I give you the last couple of win from the small mana battles

EVIDENCE #1

lol the naming is a bit lame, evidence...

This is a battle from a tournament. The ruleset was fantastic, blast would be everywhere. Range and Magic attacks will aim backline units due to target practice ruleset. Melee would aim backline too from Super Sneak ruleset.

And the wonderful thing was my forte... 12 mana cap battle. What could you do about this?

In round 2 we could see that my team managed to kill two of their units, while they could only killed one of mine. My team looked like on the winning side.

And this battle ended in round 3. My team was won convincingly, even though my opponent was performing very well.

How did I build up my team? Well, we have plenty way to start, but my rule of thumb were like these:

  1. I must have all units attacking, idle unit useless.
  2. No 1 speed units. Blast would kill them first before making any move.
  3. Put range or mage in the last position, it would limit blast effect, which they would come only from the main tank and the last unit. Else, someone in the middle would get attacked and it would make the blast effect lethal to my team.

Simple wasn't it? I did not even think about having a cool unit in my team, and that's what made me won that battle.

EVIDENCE #2

lol another one...

I am not taking an evidence or example from regular rank battles here, this one is a brawl one. So this is a do or die one.

This one has a fuck up ruleset too. Seriously Noxious Fumes and Earthquake, it means you have to die here. None would survive this battle. But we can use fly and cleanse your tank right? hell no, we have only 13 mana cap.

It looks like both of us have the same approach. We want Ujurak Brave as the last one standing, which means we will trying to survive as long as possible here.

In round two, what differs between us is shown well. I use a martyr to boost up my Ujurak brave, and we could see my Ujurak Brave is stronger than his. However he has Trapp Falloway there. He doesn't want his team to be idle, he wants them to attack and make some kill too.

His idea is better and his meta is better than mine, if the mana cap is higher. In Small mana cap, you can not do that, you must think out of the box and do something silly that will be unpredicted by your opponent.

Trapp Falloway is cool, but he dies from earthquake and poison anyway. He becomes only one round sensation lol.

The battle ends in round 5, which my Ujurak Brave delivers the finishing blow. It is only a 1 health point different between us. But it is still my win anyway.

So I am very happy today. Despite all my loses, I am still people nightmare in small mana battles. I know this sounds like I am an arrogant player, but it is not what my point is. You need to be proud of what you can do in the game, challenge people on it. that's what make this game fun.

Anyway that's my post today, I hope you like it and thank you for your visit here. See you in Splinterlands Battles!!!
