Running Errands……My Actifit Report Card: March 23 2026

Don’t worry-the barn’s not crooked-just my angle was! 😏

Today was a day for errands. I first went up the mountain to visit a friend who lost her husband this November past. I’ve been a little worried about her, so I’m visiting every other Monday hoping to give her an ear and a shoulder and just be there for her. I’m concerned a bit as I learned today that she’s not eating much. Some but not much. She smiled and said that she’s doing okay as she’s not lost any weight yet, but she’s in her 80’s and not eating isn’t a good thing at this point. She’s still in the grieving process and I get that but she still needs to eat. I’m going to keep my eye on her ( I see her weekly at church) and am thinking I’m going to take some food with me the next time I go up and see if she will join me in a snack or lunch. If she declines, then I’ll get some help. Maybe have another gal I know that’s checked on her before, to see if she’s able to get her to have a snack or a meal with her.

I was late returning home as I didn’t want to walk away from her, but once home, I went with @silvertop to get the tongue and groove for my laundry room.

Barns and mountains are apparently the theme for today. These next couple of pictures are toward the northern view to mountains located in @kerrislravenhill’s neck of the woods, Canada way.

As we were headed to Lynden for gas for the truck, Mt. Baker was visible to the east.

Once home, I hopped on the stationary bike to get the balance of my steps.

Here’s Cot giving me his adorable ‘I missed you, mom’ little kitty face.

He’d been asleep on the waterbed for a while.

That’s gonna be it for me. Tomorrow is ladies Bible study which I’m looking forward to.

I gaze upon those very same mountains every time I drive my son to his job. From my home I can see Mt. Baker looming in the southwest horizon, can't miss it. It's good that you reached out to her Sis. Grieving individuals do appreciate guests dropping in to check on them. It sends the message that you care. ❤️

Hey sis! Yes, her husband passed away in November and it was just the two of them. She is alone, in a community up about 13 minutes from my home, further into the mountains. It is a 'dark' area and spiritually, not good. It's beautiful up there, but there's also a lot of crime and drugs in the area. She might should move, but the place she's at is where she lived with her husband, and I suspect for now, does not want to leave for that reason.

Yes, the mountains are beautiful, however I am glad the snow is up there and not here. That would be hard to deal with this far into the year.

aliveandthriving yesterday

Great pictures my friend, hope the 80 year old is ok if she is eating that maybe ok most religions do somekind of fasting it also helps with some healing to fast a little so our bodies can focus on healing instead of digestion.

Still you are right to mind the situation and make sure shes ok.

You are amazing 🤩 I wish your friend could really find the joy again... Does she has a pet? They are great company! Even I heard about a program for elder people to rent a room to students so both have they they need, company and a cheep place to live. There is nothing similar in your town?
