It used to sound crazy to me, but for people who enjoy the holidays, those who have last-minute tasks, and those who want to leave everything "for next year," it’s helpful to have these dates celebrated for almost 4 months. Yes, we have 4 months of Christmas festivities.
My mother loves Christmas! She is the one who decorates, makes traditional food, enjoys shopping, and listening to lots of music from that season. In our home, we have some Christmas decorations that we will gradually take out of storage to decorate this year.
En mi país ya se ha hecho costumbre, que el gobierno declare el inicio de la Navidad desde el 1 de octubre. Antes me sonaba descabellado, pero para las personas que le gustan las fiestas, aquellos que tienen pendientes de últimos meses y los que quieren dejar todo "para el otro año", les sirve que estas fechas se celebren por casi 4 meses. Sí, 4 meses de fiestas decembrinas tenemos. A mi madre ¡Le encanta la Navidad! Ella es la que decora, hace comida típica, le gusta hacer compras y escuchar mucha música de esa época. En nuestro hogar tenemos algunos adornos navideños que poco a poco iremos desempolvando para decorar este año.
On Saturday, with the start of the celebration in the largest square of my city, we went to see what things had been set up this year to decorate and make this date festive. Everything was concentrated in the central area with an entrance called "A STORY FULL OF MAGIC," because I read that on the day of the inauguration, there were storytellers narrating a story related to Christmas.
I found it something beautiful, minimalist, and innovative, because Christmas is like that—magic, colorful, and full of many lessons of love and togetherness. Since it was Saturday, when people take the opportunity to break away from their routine, it was noticeable that the square was busy. Mostly, I observed families and many children running around, amazed at everything they saw.
Of course, the protagonist was the tree; we could appreciate it even a few meters before reaching the square, and I liked that the decorations are large and very colorful. I congratulate whoever made them. The only thing I hope is that the materials used do not deteriorate before Christmas Eve itself, due to rain or sun 🙃.
El sábado, con el inicio de la celebración en la plaza más grande de mi ciudad, nos fuimos a ver que cosas habían colocado este año para adornar y hacer festiva esta fecha. Todo se concentró en la parte central con una entrada llamada "UN CUENTO LLENO DE MAGIA", porque algo leí que el día de la inauguración, estaban cuentacuentos contando una historia referente a la Navidad.
Me pareció algo lindo, minimalista y novedoso, porque la Navidad es así, magia, colorido y muchas lecciones de amor y unión. Por ser sábado, cuando las personas aprovechan para salir un poco de la rutina, se veía que la plaza estaba concurrida. Mayormente, observé familias y muchos niños que corrían maravillado con todo lo que veían.
Por supuesto que el protagonista era el árbol; nosotros lo apreciamos incluso unos metros antes de la llegada a la plaza y me gustó que los adornos son grandes y muy coloridos. Quien lo hizo, le felicito. Lo único que espero que el material que haya usado no se deteriore antes de la propia Nochebuena, por efecto de la lluvia o sol 🙃.

Al salir, nos encontramos con este árbol de Navidad, que no sé si quisieron ambientar o recrear un muérdago y las tradiciones del beso debajo de sus ramas, pero también les quedó hermoso, bellísimo y las personas disfrutaban mucho de su belleza. Something I loved (yes, everything was beautiful), was that they set up tables to sit for a while and enjoy the shows or the music they play. That afternoon we saw a group getting ready, but we couldn't quite hear what it was about. What I do think is missing is the sale of food and drinks.
I like to sit down, eat something, enjoy the music, and watch the people passing by, but none of that was available.Well, there wasn't much variety. We ended up eating a pizza that was quite tasty, and I think we brought luck to the man, because once he saw us with our food, other people came over to get theirs as well.
I would add more food options, like on previous occasions when they have the big fair there.I hope to go soon, when the shows start, and gradually get caught up in the Christmas spirit.
Algo que me encantó (sí, todo estaba bellisimo), fue que pusieron mesas para sentarse un rato a disfrutar de los espectáculos o la música que colocan. Esa tarde vimos un grupo que se estaba preparando, pero no logramos escuchar de qué trataba.
Lo que sí creo que le falta, es la venta de comidas y bebidas. A mí me gusta sentarme, comer algo, disfrutar de la música, de las personas que pasan y que va, nada de eso había.
Bueno, no había variedad. Terminamos comiendo una pizza que estaba bien sabrosa, y creo que le llevamos suerte al señor, porque una vez que nos vieron con nuestra comida, las personas se acercaron a pedir las suyas también. Yo le pondría más variedad de comidas, como en ocasiones anteriores que colocan la gran feria allí.
Espero poder ir pronto, cuando comiencen los espectáculos y poco a poco ir contagiándome del espíritu navideño.
