My baseball team had a series of four consecutive games in my city, so I wanted to celebrate that day with the team. Buying cake, soft drinks, beverages, and entertaining people was not on my mind.
Some friends were interested in joining me for the celebration, but the day before, we found out that, unfortunately for me, the game had been canceled. Luckily, as a cautious woman, I had bought my birthday cake and some drinks the day before, because my birthday is always celebrated, since the next day is a holiday in my city.

Menos mal que, como mujer precavida el día anterior, había comprado mi pastel de cumpleaños y algunas bebidas, porque mi cumple siempre se celebra, ya que, al otro día, es feriado en mi ciudad.
