The first one is the Waur Medge Academy, which serves as a tutorial for new users, while they learn something of the battles, receive their first soulbound cards (Set Foundation) and a bit of the $Glint token.
The second book is not active at the moment, but is expected to have new tutorial chapters or ways to get more cards from the set Foundation.
Waur Medge Academy
Book 1 is a series of chapters that serve as a tutorial, where we are introduced to the academy and information about the battles.
The chapter 1 is just a welcome from the Director about the beginning of this adventure. When you complete it, you will receive the first cards of the set, which will allow you to complete the other chapters.
The chapters 2 - 11, cover: card types, attack types (melee, ranged and magic attack), armor and speed stats, skills, mana (mana cost of cards), the elements (fire, water, earth, life, death, dragon and neutral) and finally the rules or battle modifiers.
By completing all of them, you will have learned the basics necessary to move on to the qualifying fighting arena in the modern format. Reinforcement and application will be in each battle you perform in the arena.
But congratulations, you finished book 1, you received Archons and units of the 5 main elements, plus an amount of $Glint that you can use in the “GWEN'S GLINT SHOP”.
A highlight of these cards is that if you stake some $SPS, you can receive rewards on your victories in the qualifying battles.
Set Foundation
The Foundation set came to replace the ghost cards of the Modern format.
The following Archons may have a higher mana cost, but they allow you to fight adequately in the top ranked leagues.
The battle units of each element have some basic skills and attributes that will allow them to fight against the Rebellion or Conclave sets.
The entire set will be at level 1.
Something that I detail and I hope you do too, is that we only have the common and rare rarities complete, and only a few epics. But we can go to items > Select set and rarity (epic and legendary), to see the missing cards.
Hopefully some of these beautiful cards from the set will be unlocked soon, or what do you guys think.
Conclusion
This new update and set of cards is a breath of fresh air for #spl, it allows to attract new users in an entertaining way, while they learn a little.
Likewise, it motivates old players about a new game format where they can explore the Lore of #splinterlands and also earn cards or tokens that contribute to the growth of the players.
I can't wait to see what other chapters or books they come up with and see what they surprise us with.
I would also like to see an Archon include some dragon element cards, maybe in a chapter or book exploring draconic lands.

El capítulo 1 es solo la bienvenida por parte del Director sobre el inicio de esta aventura. Al completarla se reciben las primeras cartas del set, que permitirán ir completando los demás capítulos.
Los capítulos del 2 - 11, abarcan: los tipos de cartas, tipos de ataque (mélée, ataque a distancia y mágico), estadísticas de armadura y velocidad, habilidades, maná (costo de maná de las cartas), elementos (fuego, agua, tierra, vida, muerte, dragón y neutral) y por último las reglas o modificadores de batalla.
Al completarlos todos, habrán aprendido las bases necesarias para pasar a la arena de lucha clasificatoria en el formato moderno. El refuerzo y aplicación será en cada batalla que realicen en la arena.
Pero felicitaciones, terminaste el libro 1, recibiste Arcontes y unidades de los 5 elementos principales, además de una cantidad de $Glint que puedes usar en la tienda "GWEN’S GLINT SHOP".
Algo a resaltar de estas cartas es que si sumas en stake algo de $SPS, puedes recibir recompensas en tus victorias en las batallas clasificatorias.
Set Fundación
El set Fundación llegó a remplazar las cartas fantasma del formato moderno.
Los siguientes Arcontes pueden tener un coste de maná más alto, pero permiten luchar adecuadamente en las primeras ligas de clasificación.
Las unidades de batalla de cada elemento poseen algunas habilidades básicas y atributos que les permitirán luchar contra los sets Rebellion o Conclave.
Todo el set se encontrará en nivel 1.
Algo que detalle y espero que ustedes también, es que solo tenemos las rarezas comunes y raras completas, y solo unas pocas épicas. Pero podemos ir a items > Seleccionar el set y la rareza (épica y legendaria), para poder ver las cartas que faltan.
Espero que pronto se puedan desbloquear algunas de estas hermosas cartas del set, o ustedes que opinan.
Conclusión
Esta nueva actualización y set de cartas, es un aire fresco para #spl, permite atraer de forma entretenida a nuevos usuarios, mientras aprenden un poco.
De igual forma, motivo a los antiguos jugadores sobre un nuevo formato de juego donde se explore el Lore de #splinterlands y además se pueda ir ganando cartas o tokens que contribuyan al crecimiento de los jugadores.
Estoy ansioso por ver que otros capítulos o libros van presentando y ver con que nos sorprenden.
Me gustaría que también incluyeran un Arconte algunas cartas del elemento dragón, puede ser en un capítulo o libro explorando tierras dracónicas.
