Ashlee picked one song by Matt & Kim. Daylight from the 2009 album “Grand” . For Bonus Tune it’s the 2009 song “Help I’m Alive” from the band Metric. Taken from the full length album “Fantasies”.
Gene goes with MGMT and the 2007 released track Time To Pretend. From the album “Oracular Spectacular”. This album’s singles had big crossover success as 2008 charting singles. Just seemed like a rare moment where Alternative pop songs hit the charts. For my Bonus Tune it’s the band Bloc Party and the song Banquet from 2005 album “Silent Alarm” . Also a song that made the mainstream rounds a bit.
