Well, good Morning dear Friends and Photography Lovers🙌📸
I have already written to you about my dear and never-bereaved brother Damir, about his personality and humanity, about his love and his sincere smile, about his jazz club... I wrote to you about our love, but also about the endless sadness over his passing.
Yesterday I was at the announcement of the summer jazz festival that has been held in his honor and memory for the fifth year in a row since his death.
And it's hard every time, everyone is there, only he's not there.
Damir Kukuruzović was not only a top guitarist and pioneer of gypsy jazz in Croatia, but also a man whose enthusiasm created a scene where there was none. The founding of the Siscia Jazz Club, bringing world-class names to Sisak, his dedication to music and community — all speak of his immense love and passion.
That's what everyone says and admires him, but I say Damir was my brother and I'm proud of him.💙💙💙💙💙
There were also beautifully composed delicacies, the work of Damir's mother, my aunt
Even after his death, it seems he left an indelible mark: the festival, the music, the memories and the people who remember him with pride. This year would have been the 20th Siscia Open Jazz & Blues Festival if Damir were with us, but unfortunately but also proudly, this year is the fifth Damir Kukuruzović Jazz Days. This year, in August, Damir would have turned 50
My city, our city got a new mural. My favorite in the city.... And again in honor of him, my brother.... It was painted on a building in the neighborhood where he and I were born, lived and grew up. I pass by it almost every day and it's strange... Sometimes I would cry, sometimes I would just smile at him and wave at him, but always with a heart full of love.
And there's always his Smile
And, this is all for Today dear Friends, see you Tomorrow
