Like some people usually say, if you hold it well, it will stay; if you mismanage it, it will leave. That is the case of money. Some moments you are balling, some other moments you are transferring money from one bank to another just to make a transaction. However, one of the things I have developed personally is how to budget and prioritize something because these days, I need to calculate my expenses before I jump in to buy anything. And if you ask me, I will say learning to budget money is about respecting the future and not about being stingy, especially with the way things are in this country.

Like my Pman told a real life story some time ago about some people having a good job and earning much but before the month ends, they will be borrowing from friends. The issue is not the money they are collecting but the lack of planning on how to spend the money. For someone who is in this country, what will help us is to always come up with the list of the things we want to buy and get in order of priority rather than just spending anyhow. Because when we fail to budget for things we need, we will always end up with guilt.
Like I wrote in one of the prompts recently, it is not that I have it all but I always set aside some savings just in case of emergencies, and when some light issues show up, I am always calm because I know I have something I can at least fall back to which gives me control and not panic.

What I do is that I know my income, and like I said, I list out what I need, have some savings, check the things I need more, add a few more because as a man, there is also room to add more... you know.
And for me, when it comes to budgeting, I see it as self care that comes with peace of mind because in this current stage of my country, one needs to apply brain to survive because when I plan to budget, it keeps me in check for today and no regrets tomorrow.
