Today I captured a rather interesting moment on one of our village roads. A heavy machine was working to level a dirt road that had long been the main route for residents. This road was usually only used by motorbikes and pedestrians, and especially during the rainy season, it was often muddy and slippery. But now, it seems to be starting to change; the surface appears firm and tidy thanks to the work of the Sakai machine, which is rolling the soil with a heavy but soothing sound.

On the side of the road, wild grass and the remains of an unfinished brick wall are still visible. Meanwhile, a woman walks slowly along the roadside, perhaps on her way to the rice fields or a neighbor's house. This simple scene holds a story of change and hope how a small village is slowly improving, from a dirt road to a better road.

The air was quite warm that afternoon, the sky was slightly cloudy but still had a soft light. The sounds of birdsong in the trees and the thump of heavy equipment combined to create a harmony typical of a vibrant village. I feel fortunate to have witnessed this moment, as every major change always begins with small steps including the piece of road that was being leveled today.
