Where to spend a delicious afternoon [eng/spa]

Do you know the Egyptian Colonnade in Old Havana? If the answer is yes, I'm sure you found this place fascinating, and if you haven't visited it yet, I'll share with you my first experience there. This place is located on Mercaderes Street, between Obispo and Obrapía, and it really has a unique magic and a charming atmosphere that makes me choose it to enjoy a delicious afternoon.
I tell you that I arrived at this place intoxicated by the smell of coffee, because when it is 3 o'clock in the afternoon I am overcome with a huge desire to try this exquisite liquid. That afternoon I decided to try the cappuccino they offer, which by the way has a pleasant balance of flavors. But while I was waiting for my order, I was ecstatic with the atmosphere, which goes beyond a simple establishment that sells coffee, constituting a space that has a story to tell.

During my visit I could see that this place is decorated with tile pieces that were donated by the Eça de Queirós Foundation. The name of this foundation is a tribute to the Portuguese writer and diplomat José Maria de Eça de Queirós, who lived in Havana for some time as consul of his country and also frequented this place. This fact is totally understandable because the place has an extremely cozy atmosphere.

The design of the place is very refined, from the furniture to every picture that adorns its walls. In one of the corners of this place there is a piano, which although it was not being played that day, suggests to me that it must give off beautiful melodies. In addition, the place has a sort of open-air courtyard, which is adorned with the image of a streetcar that seems to be in motion.
