Hello everyone, if there's one anime I definitely watched as a child and still watch every episode to this day, it was Shin Chan. The humor in it is everything to me; it's great, every character, every funny and subtle moment. It wasn't afraid of taboos, and even looking back, I'm surprised that it aired on television without censoring certain words, which might be criticized today if it were still airing. But luckily, it's a culturally rich anime that doesn't fall short in the movies. For the past few years, I've been getting into the world of the Shin Chan movies, and I think they're very good. I recently had the chance to watch one, so today I'll give you my opinion on "Shin Chan in Australia: After the Green Emeralds."
Hola a todos, si hay un anime que sin duda veía de niña y hasta la fecha sigo viendo cada capítulo, era Shin Chan. El humor en este es todo lo que siento; está bien, cada personaje, cada momento divertido y subliminal que no tenía miedo a tabúes y que, incluso haciendo retrospectiva, me sorprende cómo lo pasaban en la televisión sin censura de ciertas palabras que se dicen, y que quizás actualmente, si apenas estuviera en emisión, estaría criticado. Pero por suerte es todo un anime de cultura que incluso no se queda atrás con las películas, y es que desde hace unos años para acá he estado metiéndome en el mundo de las películas de este anime y considero que son muy buenas y recientemente tuve la oportunidad de ver una, por lo que aprovechando hoy les daré mi opinión sobre "SHIN CHAN EN AUSTRALIA". TRAS LAS ESMERALDAS VERDES".
Directed by Masakazu Hashimoto and produced by Shin-Ei Animation, this is the 27th film in the popular anime series, released in 2019. It was a box office success. The story follows Misae, who, after receiving an offer for a lunar eclipse-themed wedding package, suggests to Hiroshi that they take the trip so they can finally have the honeymoon they never had. The family embarks on a journey to Australia, where the honeymoon theme transforms into a full-blown adventure with Hiroshi being kidnapped and a mysterious treasure to be discovered.
Dirigida por Masakazu Hashimoto y producida por Animación Shin-Ei, es la película número 27 de este popular anime y emitida en el año 2019. Tuvo un gran recibimiento en taquilla. Nos lleva a la trama donde, tras existir una oferta para un paquete de bodas temático por un eclipse lunar, Misae le propone a Hiroshi el ir y así tener la luna de miel que no pudieron tener, por lo que en familia emprenden un viaje rumbo a Australia, donde más allá de la temática de la luna de miel se convierte en toda una aventura con un Hiroshi secuestrado y un tesoro misterioso por descubrir.
One thing I have to say is that this movie caught my attention for a specific reason: it shows much more than we're used to seeing about Shin-chan's parents, especially Misae, which I really appreciated. It's a mature and realistic portrayal of facing unexpected emotions and situations. While the plot is quite funny, in the best style of humor that characterizes the series, the main focus is definitely on Misae, showing what it means to never give up. The second main focus is on Hiroshi, as this movie even reminded me a bit of those anime episodes where we see their past, shifting the focus away from the typical Shin-chan or Himawari, which isn't a bad thing at all.
Algo que tengo que decir es que esta película en sí llamó más mi atención por un tema en específico y es el hecho de que muestran mucho más de lo que estamos acostumbrados con respecto a los padres de Shin-chan, sobre todo en Misae, cosa que me gustó muchísimo, ya que es una visión madura y realista de lo que es enfrentar emociones y momentos que no se esperan. Si bien la trama es bastante divertida al mejor estilo del humor que los caracteriza, sin duda el protagonismo va más que todo para Misae, mostrando lo que es no rendirse, y el segundo, pues Hiroshi, ya que incluso esta película me recordó un poco esos capítulos del anime donde vemos el pasado de estos, dejando de lado lo que es el típico protagonismo de Shin-chan o Himawari, lo cual no es malo.
And while it's fair to say it's a common plot for travel and adventure stories, with a character who accompanies them being a clear reference to Indiana Jones, the truth is that it perfectly complements the humor of the classic film, with moments where each character shines individually, even the snowy dog. Furthermore, the way it addresses the themes of family maturity and the bonds and commitment within a family, along with tackling adult issues without involving the children (something I appreciated and was surprised by), makes it one of my favorite films compared to others I've seen.
Y aunque se puede decir que es una trama común en lo que es viajes y aventuras y el personaje que los acompaña, siendo una referencia clara a Indiana Jones, la verdad es que complementa muy bien lo que es el humor del clásico con momentos donde cada personaje brilla por separado, incluso el perrito nevado. Y por otra parte, el abordar el tema de la madurez familiar y el vínculo y compromiso de una familia junto con lo que es afrontar temas de adultos sin meter a los niños (cosa que me gustó y me sorprendió), ya que en comparación con otras películas, esta es de las que más me ha gustado.
This movie is highly recommended, both for those who want to laugh along with this anime from many people's childhoods and for those who want to see a little more of the Nohara family's life from a different perspective. Even as a big fan myself, I feel it will complement the movie coming out this year, which will delve deeper into the strong relationship between Hiroshi and Misae beyond what we usually see. Esta película es muy recomendada tanto para recordar entre risas este anime de la infancia de muchos como para aprovechar y ver un poco más allá de lo que es la vida de la familia Nohara desde otro punto, y, incluso siendo un poco muy fan, siento que complementará mucho con la película que va a salir este año, que va a abordar un poco más este tema de lo bien sólida que está la relación de Hiroshi y Misae más allá de lo que siempre vemos, por lo que, bueno, sin más que decir y esperando sea de su agrado, muchas gracias por leer.
