I think you have the desire to acquire knowledge AI can be better rather than reading books. If you don't understand something you can ask to explain it also. At least I feel it's better than reading books. I am talking about textual books only.

I know AI can explain things better too but when we start to give a lecture on a particular chapter i think it's a good read on book 😁
For me, knowledge is important, and the teaching method. Doesn't matter how to get the knowledge. I feel I can get better knowledge using AI, so I will go with AI, but in the case of a student, they can follow books as a guideline.
Textual books have limited knowledge. If you want to go deeper, you need the help of the internet, and now AI is the best option to get it.
Even when I was a student, I needed to read several books to learn better about a topic, as different writers published books with different knowledge. Later, I needed to search online too. I just feel, I could save a lot of time if in that time I had AI.
