just when you thought that the last trip was enough to find lights, here we are again with another illumination quest. this one was still not on display the last time we were on the search for lights. this is the yebisu garden place and the illuminations they have instore.
yebisu garden place

the stone structure is a staple of course, it cannot be moved that easily. but beyond that are the lights which opened with this christmas tree. people were flocking around this tree and the foot traffic to this place was really unbelievable. it is quite surprising though that there was no beer stall around, yebisu is a beer company after all.

this leads down to the central area with the beer museum and the mall. i tried my very best to capture the scene with less obstruction, but that is just impossible. people were everywhere. no place without people. it is the best place to observe people for sure. you get to see who came with who, and which couple were possibly dating.

looking back to the christmas tree, nah this man was at the dead center. and he wouldn't move away. housemate js who came with me couldn't take a proper selfie as well. but nevertheless, those lights were really amazing. is it beginning to look a lot like christmas?

like any other years, the central hall features this grand chandelier for this yearly illumination event.
Taking centre stage at Yebisu Garden Place, this light display incorporates a Baccarat chandelier constructed in 1994. At five-metres-tall and three-metres-wide, this chandelier is one of the largest in the world and is adorned with 8,500 crystal pieces and 250 golden lights. source

here is a close up view of the baccarat chandelier. i had to lower down the brightness to view some details. it is intricate for sure and one that i cannot afford in this lifetime.

here is a view from the back side steps. those chandelier lights were bright!

now up the stairs facing the chandelier was this palace like structure. it seemed taken out directly from a fairy tale, or if not, from french historical palaces. in the courtyard, basically the front square, there were two replicas of famous statues. this one in the picture is a replica of antoine bourdelle's le fruit, conceived between 1902 and 1911. at the opposite side was auguste rodin's the spirit of eternal rest, and he was yet another naked sculpture.

front view of the palace looking structure. tiktok dancers did not spare the place at all. the currently trending naruto dance was performed a couple of times till perfection. but i was here to revel on the beauty of this palace and the shadows made by the lights.

at the back side toward the garden area was this entrance to a restaurant, i guess you know who this famous chef is. the entrance looked like i was transported to wonderland.

this fountain beside the palace had still waters. if this were in the philippines, i am pretty sure that this will be mosquito infested. i called it a fountain but i am really not sure if water spouts from somewhere, but then again what is considered a water fountain?

we walked further away were we found these very unique street lamps. we were in the heart of beer manufacturing yebisu company property after all, these street lamps were so on theme.
and the station stamps

we continued the walk to shirokane - takanawa station (白金高輪駅) where we got the stamp featuring the series 9000 trains. these trains were used and still running since 1991. anyways, i just found out today that there is really no place called shirokane - takanawa, but the station was called that because it was smack in between the shirokane and the takanawa area.

we also reached the much farther hanzomon station (半蔵門駅), another subway station. we got the series 8000 stamps from there, and that line has been in operation in 1981 to 2021. well a few sets were left running until fully decommissioned in 2022.
as always, AMPING KANUNAY!
