Training is an important aspect of learning in which its effects cannot be overemphasized. Last weekend I attended a virtual training session organized by our team lead @ijelady via WhatsApp. It lasted for about an hour with about 20 participants which consists of both members and prospects. Her tenacity to educate members on how to add value to the community is commendable.
She was so detailed in explaining what Hive and SpendHBD is all about - a web 3 decentralized social networking platform. Which also has various communities in which one can socialize with according to one's niche. And the SpendHBD project powered by the @distriator team, a platform which affords one the opportunity to spend the community token HBD in shopping and get a cash back of 20-40% as reward.
The training was an eye opener to most of the participants especially those who have not been active and to the first timers who have not leveraged on the amazing opportunity inherent in the Hive Blockchain community. My eyes were opened the more on the importance of exploring the various communities in the platform. For the benefits of the newbies and prospects she emphasized on the dangers of plagiarism which is highly kicked against by the Blockchain.
At the end of the session she gifted some newbies outside her location 1 HBD each as early bird reward and a token of love (which is the main language in the community) which I'm also a benefactor to. She encouraged everyone to get serious with Hive/ SpendHBD and ensure promoting the platform.
So, yesterday I continued with the promotion campaign. I sent a chat to someone asking him if he had heard about Hive. As usual, the response was “No”. I briefly explained to him what it is. He requested for a flier which I forwarded to him. I also leveraged on the voice notes our team lead made which explained in details about Hive and SpendHBD.
I was expecting a feedback from him after listening to it but didn't get any, so I put a call through asking him if he was done listening and is interested. He said yes and that I should add him to our WhatsApp group for quick access to information which I did after the call. Tomorrow I will do the onboarding processes so that he could write his introductory post.
In conclusion, training is a powerful tool for growth and sustainability. For members to be sustained in the community training and support should be upheld, of which a lot of leaders here are doing great in that regard. On the other hand, a lot of people are yet to embrace the Hive opportunity, hence the need for promotion/campaign. I will keep doing my bit as I owe it as my responsibility as a member of the community.
