I have had phones which do not automatically scan a QR code. I dislike most standalone apps, but Kaspersky makes one that seems safe and not likely to try to upset you for virus scans and whatnot. It's just about ensuring you don't accidentally open malicious links in a QR scan.

        I finally got everything she did erased and my phone went back to the way it was. I did a lot of reading and figured out which QR app I needed and I am patting myself on the back, I got the ring doorbell working and I got it linked to the Alexa box. Now I have to figure out how to set up the backyard camera to my phone and Alexa.
