LOH255 || Back to school, present and future "under construction".

It is proposed, it brings back wonderful memories and other somewhat difficult ones of my school days, it had its good moments and it was the most, to have new useful with a new smell, the uniforms, the shoes, backpack, friends, I still miss that feeling of innovation, of uncertainty, especially of how to fit in with other children, at school.

In times of returning to the routine or creating new routines it is very important to have empathy to accompany children and us adults in moments like these too.

So coming back from vacation is more difficult than it seems... and if it is so for adults, do not think that for children it is different. School can be a more threatening environment than you imagine.

I remember with great joy that none of my three children have followed straight paths in life (or I don't know I have provided them), during school, high school and even university, they have known how to build themselves between crossroads, curves, setbacks, pauses, slopes and plains, so I don't know, how or when, or how the next step will be, I only know that now I contemplated the achievement with my grandchildren, especially with Bella, the eldest of my grandchildren who is going to start the 3rd year of high school soon, contemplated her way of being, of doing and of arriving and I enjoy with anxiety and intrigue included, being part of this present and "future" in construction.

The same story is repeated with my youngest grandchildren only innovating with the resources for learning and technology, which in my time did not exist.

Because I have to wait for them when I get out of school to have lunch, help with homework, play games....while their parents (my children) are working, it is a team work that my husband and I do.

Children, like adults, often face situations with the return to school when someone tries to define what our children are, because adaptation begins, and new routines.

If it is difficult for us adults to return to our work after vacations, let's think about children, who must reconnect with their friends, see if you will have friends or not, the issue of bullying, about which people will say about the physical changes that can appear for example in adolescence, the fear of facing new things, facing that subject that it cost you so much to learn, having to change your routine, among other things, all this is part of the experience and it is difficult.

And by this I do not mean that "it is that now the difficulties of life must be eliminated, and it is not so, they are part of it. But, they children, teenagers need empathy, it's like us adults, who need to be understood, when we are adapting to a change.

Getting back to the routine, creating a new routine is even a challenge, and this is important to be able to accompany our children, grandchildren, students and the people we are close to, about how difficult it is to return to classes or work after holidays, and that it is not just a "reason for illusion".

I think @irenenavarroart​, that our children, grandchildren, adolescents, are very brave when they are able to connect with their authenticity and stay true to themselves beyond any stereotype, that's why my admiration for the various edges that make up their identity, and also that of us adults who accompany them.Living this process is the day to day, of socio-cultural upbringing.
