Many years ago we planted this beautiful pomegranate bush, we noticed that it is a plant that grows super fast in just months it was already quite large so we immediately expected and thought it would grow super fast and of course it would also bear fruit quite fast. In the area where we live there are several houses that have pomegranate bushes, however both my husband and I have only eaten pomegranate a few times.

This bush not only grows fast from my point of view but it is also super pretty and decorates well any place where it is located, I love it when it starts to give flowers because the color is so nice and vivid that it makes everything around it look pretty and colorful. But the thing about our beloved pomegranate bush is that although it grew and grew, and put out flowers and lost them several times, it had never borne fruit that will grow long enough.

In fact in order to make sure it grew back healthier since a parasite had been doing its thing, we had to cut it down to the trunk so that its leaves would come out healthy and sound and we would get rid of the parasite. We did not do this only once, because the truth is that our desire to have a pomegranate bush is huge, on several occasions while we were cleaning the garden we decided to clean its branches in order to make it grow better.

Obviously our garden is not better for me since we live in an area with little space for planting. However, we make an effort to move the soil from time to time and nurture our plants naturally. We also use some natural techniques to protect them from the common pests in the area. Besides that several heat waves have also passed through where I live and this has greatly affected our poor plants, which have still managed to overcome it.

Our pomegranate bush was no exception, the heat a few months ago was so powerful that it looked super sad and no matter how much we watered it it was never enough. Happily that season ended and the rains came, and this changed everything because only a few days of rain and our bush came to life, within a week it was already blooming with its beautiful flowers that made my life happy every morning, but something that made me much happier was to see that most of those flowers were growing a tiny fruit.

And I just thought that the war was finally over, our bush is not huge in fact it has never grown bigger than it is now, but it has lots and lots of pomegranates growing on it. The bush is healthy and has very nice green leaves, plus the weather is quite acceptable, so I am very hopeful that this time we will be able to harvest the fruit of our efforts, receive a gift from our beautiful tree that we have cared for so long.

Some of the pomegranates are bigger than a golf ball, but the best part is that they all look healthy, with no sign of coming in sick or about to fall off. I think this is my favorite tree because of its beauty and the way it grows and although it requires care, a lot of care, it feels great to see the effort of your work in its green leaves and in its flowers with that reddish orange color, when I harvest the first one I will share with you the whole process.

Me encanta la granada. Aunque tengo mucho tiempo sin probarla. Que maravillosa es la naturaleza. Felicidades por cuidarla y disfrutar tan hermoso árbol frutal.

Look how amazing those beautiful flowers and fruits are! Those beautiful flowers suddenly turned into lovely pomegranate fruits. It might sound like a normal thing, but the flowers are really stunning, so they look like ornamental plants. I guess this plant is dual purpose - as an ornament and primarily as a fruit-bearing shrub.

Happy to see your pomegranate is yielding. Happy planting! 💚
