On this occasion, one of my activities was to help a neighbor remove a broken key from the cylinder of his door. He had already tried to try to remove it with the trick of hot silicone to extract the piece, but it didn't help, he called me and we were trying to remove it with the same method.
The thing is that it had broken so deep inside that two pine trees prevented it from coming out, I know something about locks, since I have fixed two; but I hadn't run into that problem.
In the end we decided to remove the cylinder from the door, and extract the piece of flame with wire, and it didn't help, then I brought a device that I built to fix the lock and with a small modification and small blows I managed to get it out.
Without that device it would be impossible to remove the broken key, no wonder you always call a locksmith in those cases.
