What the elderly lady told you was true. My mother had a different say, but same meanings. All mothers understand that their children are their children for life, no matter the age. We all want good things for them. All we can do is raise them up in the way we know how. Some take wings and fly; others fall back and decide a different path. We can't distinguish between the two. It's much easier to deal with a child who does good and listens, but they all came from the same womb. We can't turn our backs on them, no matter what and how much it hurts us and those around us.

Oh, if it were different. Many restful nights could be enjoyed. But life doesn't always give us this luxury. And remember, God will not place any burden on us than He knows we can't bear.
