The Call of Home - Exodus of the Humanoids | nftshowroom X alienarthive challenge for November: Theme - the feeling of home - No. 1

We woke to a sunrise now whispered among our elders as tolerable. What tolerable consisted of like required manipulation of our the master database. Then pinpoint the time from an era long past. But the feeling cast upon us once we downloaded the program soon faded.

Nothing made sense to us...the "dynamic" generation as we were called.

But in exchange for our constantly-changing ideology, the call cast out upon our land drew out the ones who now occupied the planet. Those who knew nothing of "before". Those whose allegiance lay with the program known as Xylox.

It was our savior. And it brought with it beings unlike us to assimilate. Their purpose was unknown to us. No longer controlled by elected officials with petty grievances and desires to control our every thoughts, we accepted Xylox.

That the others beings were attuned to each other was evident. Our numbers dwindled after the third millenia. We now totaled less than 50 million spread across several continents. As far as we could tell from scraps of data illegally obtained.

What we did know was that one day those who worshiped Xylox would leave us. We prayed for that time. For it was foretold the era would be the time of our deliverance.

In the final days, those who weren't bred of our beginnings we soon learned were exactly like us. They longed for unity and a sense of "home".

Wherever their home existed.

Thus began the exodus. After a century among us humans, the peaceful march toward their own destiny commenced.

We watched in horror not knowing what our own destiny would be. But each of us felt the humanoids left with a piece of us.

In the post, nftshowroom X alienarthive challenge for November: the feeling of home, NFTShowroom has featured all the month's Geometry themed Art minted so far on the NFT Showroom's home page / twitter. Also, Alien Art Hive will be curating participants' blog posts. This challenge was intended for the full month of September. Participants were required to:

• make art incorporating the feeling of home theme;

• make a blog post about it in Alien Art Hive; and
• use #nftshowroom in your tags

Below are my steps I took to create my first design for this theme.

My Creation Process:

For creation of the "feeling of home" scene in this migration design, I discovered a free-sourced image of statues. Feeling they would serve as inspiration for a dystopian society, I retrieved the statutes from the stable diffusion program, StarryAI. I decided to surround them with humans and humanoids trekking on a journey.

Humans sit and observe as though they're viewing a projection of the exodus and discussing possible reasons for the mass migration. The group sitting also provided a break in the action.

I knew at the start of the project that I wanted to achieve animation to reflect people moving toward a common goal. Not just one person, but a group. From experience with the program, I expected a dramatic and awesome outcome. Deep Dream Generator delivered providing in four scenes in the design individuals moving separately in different directions.

What I didn't expect from Deep Dream Generator was the skyline moving background that resembled some unseen or other worldly force guiding humanoids to their destination.

Also, the vulture searching for food was an added bonus.
