Jueves Santo, con fe y alegría
Hola, mi gente bonita de @Family-friend, feliz Viernes Santo. Espero que estén pasando una semana fenomenal y que puedan estar disfrutando de estas vacaciones de Semana Santa para conectar con Dios, para salir, disfrutar del río, la playa, la montaña, ir a la iglesia, muchas cosas que podemos hacer en estas fechas.
Disfrutar en familia es lo mejor; ahora bien, si tenemos estos días y los podemos utilizar para descansar de todo el trabajo que hemos venido haciendo anteriormente, también es válido, pero siempre es bueno salir, distraerse y hacer algo diferente de nuestras cotidianidades.
El miércoles fuimos a la playa, la pasamos bien chévere; luego les estaré mostrando. Y ayer sí pasábamos el día aquí en la casa acomodando, limpiando, arreglando algunas cosas porque hoy nos vamos de viaje. Tenía muchísimas ganas de ir a la iglesia temprano a la misa; se nos hizo tarde; sin embargo, fuimos a casa de mi mamá y, como la iglesia queda ahí cerca, una amiga me dijo que todavía estaban dejando entrar porque era la adoración al Santísimo hasta las 12 de la medianoche.
Justo cerquita de la iglesia estaban haciendo las ferias de las empanadas en su tercera edición, un evento donde hay mucha música, actividades culturales y, por supuesto, ventas de empanadas. Había muchos toldos, muchísimos emprendedores haciendo empanadas de diferentes sabores; las más especiales eran las de pescado, calamares y cosas del mar; sin embargo, también había de carne, pollo y las infaltables de queso, muy ricas. Nosotros no compramos porque ya habíamos comido en la casa de mi mamá una rica sopa de pescado que nos había guardado y también mi hermano nos dio empanadas.
Como pueden ver en las fotografías, fuimos un rato a la iglesia, a conectar con Dios; además, se celebraba el día del sacerdote y el de esta parroquia. La verdad es que es inspirador y lo apreciamos mucho, así que lo felicitamos con abrazo fraterno. La iglesia estaba bien bonita, la adoración al Santísimo quedó bellísima; tomé una sola foto ahí porque me dio pena que la gente estaba orando, rezando y no quise incomodar; sin embargo, muchas otras personas estaban tomando fotos y videos y la verdad que no lo veía muy bien y no me aguanté y tomé por lo menos una foto.
Mis sobrinos, que estaban en la casa, se antojaron de ir también con nosotros y, como íbamos un ratico, nos los llevamos, así que nos fuimos todos en familia a compartir un rato tanto de la iglesia como de la feria de las empanadas y por aquí les dejo algunas fotos.
Por cierto, colocaron una cruz en lo alto de la iglesia con luces LED; estaba muy linda. Así como eso, también han estado haciendo otras reparaciones, como la entrada al estacionamiento y colocar un piso nuevo, y todo está quedando muy bonito. Me alegra muchísimo porque le están poniendo mucho corazón a esta iglesia que ya les estaba mostrando anteriormente, a la que habitualmente vamos, y está quedando preciosa con la colaboración de todos.
En la feria nos quedamos un rato; como ya les dije, había una tarima inmensa que no se ve muy bien en las fotos, pero era supergrande, con muchas luces, muy llamativa. También estaban presentando grupos en vivo; en el momento que fuimos, solo estaba sonando el sonido, pero durante el día, desde la mañana hasta la noche, durante tres días estarán estas fiestas en la comunidad de Bebedero, que es donde vive mi mamá, es donde me crié, donde viví por muchos años, y estos últimos años en Semana Santa hacen estas actividades.
Cosa que me gustaría que la hicieran en otra oportunidad, ya que interfieren bastante con las actividades de la iglesia, porque le quedan al lado; sin embargo, las actividades se han venido realizando con normalidad, a pesar de la bulla de estas actividades que no tienen nada que ver con la iglesia, pero que también la gente disfruta muchísimo en esta Semana Santa .
Bueno, amigos, esto ha sido todo por hoy. Aproveché de escribirles estas líneas mientras que esperamos para salir de viaje y estamos listos con todas las cosas metidas en el carro, pero estamos esperando unas amistades que vienen de Puerto la Cruz que van con nosotros para Santa María, así que por allá confío en Dios que también la vamos a pasar muy bien y les estaré mostrando algunas fotos o videos un día de estos; ustedes ya saben, en cualquier momento se los muestro.

Holy Thursday, with Faith and Joy
Hello, my lovely @Family-friend community, Happy Good Friday. I hope you’re having a fantastic week and that you’re able to enjoy this Holy Week break to connect with God, get out and about, enjoy the river, the beach, the mountains, go to church—there are so many things we can do during this time.
Having fun with family is the best; that said, if we have these days and can use them to rest from all the work we’ve been doing, that’s fine too, but it’s always good to get out, take a break, and do something different from our daily routines.
On Wednesday we went to the beach; we had a really great time; I’ll show you later. And yesterday we spent the day here at home tidying up, cleaning, and fixing a few things because we’re going on a trip today. I really wanted to go to church early for Mass; we ended up running late; however, we went to my mom’s house, and since the church is nearby, a friend told me they were still letting people in because the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament went until midnight.
Right near the church, they were holding the third annual Empanada Fair, an event with lots of music, cultural activities, and, of course, empanadas for sale. There were many tents and tons of vendors making empanadas in different flavors; the most special ones were the fish, squid, and seafood varieties; however, there were also meat, chicken, and the ever-present cheese ones—all very delicious. We didn’t buy any because we had already eaten a delicious fish soup at my mom’s house that she had saved for us, and my brother also gave us some empanadas.
As you can see in the photos, we went to the church for a while to connect with God; besides, it was the priest’s feast day and the parish’s feast day. The truth is that it’s inspiring and we appreciate it very much, so we congratulated him with a brotherly hug. The church was very beautiful, and the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament was absolutely lovely; I took only one photo there because I felt bad that people were praying and didn’t want to disturb them; however, many other people were taking photos and videos, and honestly, I didn’t think it looked very good, so I couldn’t resist and took at least one photo.
My nephews, who were at home, wanted to come along with us, and since we were only going for a little while, we took them with us, so the whole family went together to spend some time at both the church and the empanada fair. Here are a few photos.
By the way, they put up a cross on top of the church with LED lights; it was really pretty. Along with that, they’ve also been doing other repairs, like fixing the entrance to the parking lot and laying new flooring, and everything is turning out really nice. I’m so happy because they’re putting a lot of heart into this church that I was showing you earlier—the one we usually go to—and it’s looking beautiful thanks to everyone’s help.
We stayed at the fair for a while; as I mentioned, there was a huge stage that doesn’t show up very well in the photos, but it was massive, with lots of lights—really eye-catching. They were also featuring live bands; when we went, only the sound system was playing, but throughout the day, from morning until night, these festivities will take place over three days in the community of Bebedero, which is where my mom lives, where I grew up, where I lived for many years, and in recent years they’ve been holding these activities during Holy Week.
I’d like them to hold it at a different time, since it interferes quite a bit with church activities, because it’s right next door; however, the church services have been going on as usual, despite the noise from these events that have nothing to do with the church, but which people also enjoy immensely during Holy Week.
Well, friends, that’s all for today. I took the opportunity to write these lines while we wait to leave on our trip; we’re all set with everything packed in the car, but we’re waiting for some friends coming from Puerto la Cruz who are joining us for Santa María.
