Today along my travels I took a few photos I would like to share with you this evening, so as they say -
"let's get started"!
So the first thing today I visited a friend I had not seen in a year. Across from his house they had built one of those metal buildings and inside a they opened a Military Memerbelia shop of some sort,
No.... I didn't go in... As a Veteran I stay away from exactly these kinds of things....
Walking around my friend's property I saw he had planted some "Spider Lilies"! This is a whole plant,
And one of the flowers,
After returning home and some breakfast/lunch I headed back out on the bike!
On the road to the Park I saw this Turkey Vulture sitting on top of one of the electric poles,
And a little further I saw the Tri-Colored Heron catching dinner,
And it was successful! There is a fish in its beak!
Well I left it alone and went a little further into the Park and saw this Seagull on a pole.syating at me,
And the Vulture had made a big circle and landed on top of another pole,
Around then I decided to leave and ride around awhile. On my way out I saw the Tri-Colored Heron again, back in the stream!
And... Back on the hunt!
When I got out to N.A.S. Drive I noticed an new interesting sign,
And from there I took the long way down to the lower Breeding Pond. Along the way I noticed that in an old parking lot some people are abandoning cars,
Actually it looks like they are living in the pickup truck.
Finally I made to the Pond! Looks like most of the Shorebirds were hanging around together there on a Sandbar,
I also caught this Seagull buzzing past,
And making a "splash down" landing in the water!
And from there I decided I had enough miles for today and I returned to my house.
And that was a few photos from my #aliveandthriving Tuesday!
