This past summer we rarely had any rain, but now mother nature has turned on the hose. In fall, winter, and spring, it's a storm parade. We've been dealing with "atmospheric rivers" for about a week now. I read that these conditions give rise to a Douglas-fir dominant ecozone.

The fallen leaves created a wonderful light effect. Thank you!

Is that yellow-orange? I love it.

The leaves are at different stages of decay and showing variations of yellow, orange, and brown colours. It was nearing sunset that day, so the light was nice and low on the horizon.

Oh yes, the light highlighted their beauty.

Rain is always nice to watch. The plants appreciate it.

They sure get lots of it around here.

Great scenario. :)

Good thing I looked up because I almost missed it.

Look up skyward and see the beauty 😍 ✨️
Nice capture. I glad Mother Nature answered with some rains.

I almost walked past it but then looked up and saw all the leaves scattered across the tree. It was a spectacle.

Atmospheric change

Is this drying or what

It's fall here, so the leaves are falling everywhere creating this effect.
