Not often you get an opportunity to visit a different language church and learn from the one of gifted worship ministers in a lifetime.
That's when you really need to pay attention, with mouth closed and ears opened.
I had an honour to be invited to come along to be part of the worship training team where I get to impart what I learned and led in the choir to the gifted vocalists, in terms of breathing care, voice care and song journey.
I too was once a nervous wreck; but when understanding of the stage is no longer performance, but a Holy battleground (yes, it is true, literally), the mindset, confidence, can shift differently because the attention is not us who holds the mic anymore.
It was a lot of fun when I can understand how "ears can bleed" from the screeches of an under warm-up voice, and with simple exercise and encouragement does a long way.
There were 4 teams but I manged to record 2 teams while the rest of the recording were with the attendees.
Team Rita (Practice)
Team Shikin and Samsiah (practice)
You can actually see the difference when encouragement with cheeky jokes successfully elevate their mood.
Have fun watching!
