Do you prefer working from home or going to office? Why?
I love this question. When I caught sight of it, I said to myself, this question worths answering and it is always like this each week. Thanks to @ladiesofhive community for giving us heart-touching topics to write about weekly.
My answer to this week's contest question which is Do you prefer working from home or going to office? Why? is this I prefer going to office but why? Let me drop my reasons.
- 1 Laziness: I prefer going to office because if I should work from home, I may end up missing my work. Additionally, since I am alone, minor things can easily carry my mind away. As a matter of fact, punctuality could be story for the gods.
- 2 Unforseen occurrences: While working from home, it is obvious that I may encounter unplanned or unexpected activities like visitors, or calls that will require prompt or immediate actions. Now, although I am working from home, as long as my presence is present, I must be expected to leave whatever I am doing at the moment to solve the issue at hand without even considering the fact that I am working.
- 3 Distractions: It is as easy as ABC to become easily distracted once you're working from home. E.g, as a mother, you're working from home, then, you heard your child crying, you must definitely leave the work. Now, ehat if t he baby is requesting for a food or something not available at the moment and then refuse to stop crying 😭, what will you do? What if the baby fell down and sustained injury? Ahh, working from home attracts a whole lot of distractions.
- 3 Procrastination: Definitely, procrastination must deprive me of my work.
Now looking at all the above points, I prefer going to office rather than working from home.
Eventually, going to office will give me the needed training required like improving my smartness and intelligence. It will help me not to always rely on my intellectual alone. I will have the opportunity to learn more from my fellow workers, learn how to accommodate and tolerate all kind of manners. Lest I forget, it will definitely create room for gossiping (unharmful gossips)😀🤣
Sincerely speaking, I prefer going to office rather than working from home.
