In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.
Starting in May, I started to create a playlist to keep track of the last songs I commented on in my posts. It will be useful for me not to doubt if I had already talked about a song before or not. The last song is I've Got You Under My Skin of the american artist Frank Sinatra.
Hold The Line: Toto
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Hold The Line of the american rock group Toto.
A large part of the songs that are part of “I like” on Spotify, have come directly or indirectly thanks to the influence of video games. From original compositions that are part of the ambient soundtrack of a video game as in Kingdom Come: Deliverance or The Witcher to existing songs that are integrated into radios, memorable scenes or epic moments within the game.
Today's song, I discovered it thanks to one of my favorite video games of all time: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. This game has different radio stations with high level music like Country, Hip-Hop, Pop and Rock from the 70's, 80's and 90's. One of the songs I liked the most in the game was Hold The Line by Toto which was part of the K-DST station.
Thanks to this, I have immersed myself in the music of the era, which led me to investigate more deeply and discover a wide variety of songs that I did not know. An example of this can be more of the artist's songs such as Africa, Rosanna and Georgy Porgy.
Toto is an American band formed in 1977 in California, known for their ability to fuse diverse musical genres such as rock, pop, soul and funk. The group originally consisted of top musicians: keyboardist and vocalist David Paich, guitarist Steve Lukather, drummer Jeff Porcaro, keyboardist Steve Porcaro and vocalist Bobby Kimball.
His first big success came with his debut album called “Toto” which was released in 1978. This album included his most famous song: “Hold The Line”. This song has 1,100,000,000 plays on Spotify and 300,000,000 plays on the Youtube platform.

The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post.
