Soldier's Eyes: Jack Savoretti - My musical choice of the day and Rising Star Statistics

In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.

Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Hello from the artist Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Mc Ren.

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Soldier's Eyes from the artist Jack Savoretti.

I have often shared examples of songs that I have discovered thanks to the influence of video games. But really, that's not the only way to discover new artists and music, as movies and TV series also tend to feature great music that conveys the emotions of each scene. When it comes to movies, I can only give a few examples, such as Real Gone and Life is Highway from Cars, because I was never much of a movie watcher, preferring drama series instead. As for series, I have discovered quite a few songs thanks to series such as Suits, Mayans M.C., Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, and others.

Among that group of series, I forgot to mention one that has become one of my favorites over time. I'm talking about none other than Sons of Anarchy. It's a drama that tells the story of a group of motorcyclists in a small town in the United States. The series is full of epic moments accompanied by an impeccable soundtrack, which varies between genres such as metal, rock, and occasionally hip-hop. The best examples are Gimme Shelter by Paul Brady, This Life by Curtis Stigers, and Family by Noah Gundersen.

In one of the last seasons of the series, in one of the scenes at the end of an episode, I remember hearing a song that completely captivated me, so I couldn't miss the opportunity to search for it on Spotify and finally find it. I'm talking about Soldier's Eye by the artist Jack Savoretti

Jack Savoretti is a British folk-pop artist of this century. He achieved great recognition in 2015 after releasing his album Written in Scars, which featured hits such as Back To Me, Home, Tie Me Down, and The Other Side of Love.

However, a decade earlier, despite not being well known, he ended up releasing one of his most iconic songs for the album Between The Minds in 2007. There he released one of his most recognized songs, “Soldier's Eyes,” which gained even more notoriety when it was featured on the soundtrack of the iconic motorcycle series Sons of Anarchy.r
