A new viewing tower has been just opened in Beskid Śląski mountains range at Wisla Skolnity, PL. Entry fee is ridiculously high - almost 25€ - which puts me away. I had however two ressons to visit and pay.
One - I am a guide and I want to know new things popping up in “my” mountains. Two - I had a special person to lead today. Kamila is 32yrs old and is almost blind. Her left eye is a white ball, her right barely manages. Still, she is brave and won’t be confined to her house.
The tower has a special, spiralling constructions with gentle incline and is designed for wheelchair access. The views are far from spectacular- I could hike two adjacent peaks and have betters views for free. But it is precious for people with disabilities.
I haven’t hiked much with Kamila, just 7km round trip, so in the evening I left my car and walked to friends of mine for a pre-agreed meeting. The total gives me a decent Saturday step count.
