The real sabbath is the rest that we are able to achieve for our souls. We are expecting this rest. That we are still expecting, it is evident that we are yet to enter into that rest. But some people have already entered into this rest. Those who have entered are those who truly have the Sabbath. The real sabbath is not about some day. If those under the law were able to enter into that rest, they will not have been a mention of another day. So, the day that Moses gave them did not give them the true rest. They only cease from their works on earth but the eternal rest was still being expected.
The true rest is offered by the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ granted those who will believe in Him a true rest. They are not just going to be resting from their works on earth. They will experience true rest from God in His kingdom. The Lord Jesus Christ promised us that He had gone to prepare us a place in His Father house. His Father's house is the kingdom of God. Those who believes in Jesus Christ shall have place in the kingdom of God.
The true rest is for those who have accepted the salvation which the Lord Jesus Christ brought. Those who do not accept this salvation will not have rest as they shall be tormented throughout eternity in hell fire.
