That free mode may help, but I would make a change, and I would make it possible to win very small amounts of SPS and Glint, maybe x100 times less than the paid version, but still a bit, just enough to make it to pay for a Spellbook after one month or so.

        Yes I like the modification you thought of.
        Even a very small gain can be an extra incentive to play and why not also to learn about Hive

              Even better, some kind of the percentage, like a target, let's say 1% for each game won, so at 100%^ you win your spellbook for free.
