Splinterlands is a well-known name among the blockchain-based card games today. In this game, you have to constantly work on new strategies and deck building. As soon as each new season starts, a new kind of excitement is created among the players. Everyone wants to surpass their previous records and reach a higher league. I was also trying to improve my gameplay in this new season and finally managed to reach the Modern Gold 2 League. Below are some of my experiences and moments of receiving rewards from this journey.
Each league in the Splinterlands game has its own importance. Getting to the Gold League after passing the Bronze or Silver League is always a bit challenging. Especially in the Modern format where you have to constantly fight with new cards and a strong meta. Here the opponents are much more prepared and you have to arrange the cards with a lot of thought in each match. The notification screen that appears after reaching the Gold II League is really a joy as a player. After reaching this level, both the amount and value of rewards increase, which is very helpful for surviving in the game.
The real attraction after passing the league is when opening the rewards or loot boxes. As a reward for the Gold II League, I had some nice chests accumulated. There were 8 regular chests and 5 golden category chests to open. Before opening these chests, there is a kind of curiosity in my mind as to what kind of cards or resources will be available this time. This is a nice aspect of the Splinterlands game that there are some surprises in every season.
An important feature of the game before opening the chests is the use of potions or drugs. I had a sufficient amount of legendary potions and alchemy potions accumulated. I decided to use potions to open these chests. Using potions doubles the chances of getting good quality cards like Epic, Legendary or Gold Foil cards. It is a strategic part of the game that helps in increasing the value of the rewards.
After confirming the potions, I started revealing the rewards one by one. The cards and resources that came up at the beginning were quite useful. I got copies of the Colborne Revenant and Palimpsest Prophet cards. Also, a rare card called Dragonfang Lancer and the Ironwing Juggernaut card were added to my list. Along with the cards, I also got some energy and potion charges which are very useful to continue the gameplay.
After revealing all the rewards, it turned out that I got quite a few necessary resources. Among them, there were 4 and 6 Alchemy Potion charges, along with the Thornmaw Berserker card. In addition, 3 additional energies were obtained, which will make it possible to play more matches. These rewards will enrich my deck a little more than before. Especially if you get multiple copies of the same card, you can combine them to increase the card level, which gives additional advantages in later battles.
The Splinterlands game is basically a game of patience. It is not just about having good cards, but also understanding which cards will work best in which rules. After reaching the Gold 2 league, the goal will now be to organize your deck more and prepare for the upcoming matches. Each match in this game teaches you something new, and these small joys of opening rewards maintain the attraction to the game. Hopefully, I will be able to play with better strategies in the coming days.
