This is my post for #freewriters 2908 prompt shark tank hosted by @mariannewest
Today was the first day that my sister and I started pompano fishing. We put the boat in the water, and while she parked the truck, I tried to start the motor. It would not start. I checked everything I knew to check. I did not have a spark plug socket and could not get them out with pliers, so I could not check if it had fire.
We pulled the boat back out and drove home. At home, we took the spark plugs out, and it has fire, but the plugs looked bad, so we went to the auto store and bought new ones. Back home, we put the new plugs in and the motor started.

We put the boat back in the water, and it started right up, but after we anchored and fished, it would not start and did not start for the rest of the day. I rowed us from place to place to fish.

My sister did not like it when I told her trout was closed to commercial fishermen, and she had to throw it back.

We were ready to come in, so I texted my husband that my motor would not start, and he came to tow us to the ramp. He put in at a different ramp.

He had told me earlier that he was catching fish, but he was too far away for me to row. He also told me there were several bull sharks, and he even hooked one. I am glad we did not go to his shark tank fishing hole.

We only caught four pompano that weighed eight pounds. I do not know how many my husband caught, but he had thrity six pounds. At home, my husband worked on my motor, and it is now running again. I hope it will start in the morning.
