This is my post for #freewriters 3006 prompt feels a bit muggy out there hosted by @mariannewest

I am glad that I once again went with what my gut told me I should do. I covered plants yesterday and put the ones I took out of the shed back inside. My husband said they called for 37, what I saw said 35, wherever the Alexa box gets its temperature from said this morning we were 38, but our thermometer said we fell to 31, which I believe because we had ice this morning. As the day warms up, they are only one degree apart. I can not wait until it feels a bit muggy out there ... I will punch the first person who this summer complains about the heat.

Speaking of summer, we got good news. The fish commission made their ruling on the new trout laws and we commercial fishermen are in shock. They changed nothing for us, which has never happened before. They only changed what sport fishermen can keep. A few years ago they took big trout from us, we could only keep them between 15 and 24 inches. Sports could catch them 15 inches and have one over 24 inches.

The commission says the commercial fishermen catch one percent of the trout, and the sports catch the rest. At the meetings, the sports said they do not catch big trout, the commercial fishermen told them that is what we catch.

If the sports wanted to catch bigger fish, they need to use live bait as we do. So the commission said sports can no longer have big fish, and now they can only have them from 15 to 19 inches. They also left us with the 50 head a day. A win for us.
