Phone Photography contest 72: Large Band of Sand Removed at Beach

in Feel Good4 days ago

Greetings,

How are you doing, my friends?

The brand-new month when all summer's action happen has started. If you have a time to spend at the beach with friends and family member, do not hesitate.

I have no real free time in the first week of august, but you know there is always a strategy to create room for outdoor activities.

Beach

I would submit this first photo for the contest jury appreciation.

Beach

These photos were taken at the beach near the City of Cotonou. I am currently in West Africa, sharing this article from the count named Republic of Benin.

Tourists have found my country as interesting destination where you can experience traditional food and culture in the rich historic variety of the Western part of Africa.

Beach

I am local so it is a simple choice to visit the beach every time I can escape work either at office or home.

On the past Sunday, the weather forecast was not clear about the rain or the sun shining on the Ocean part of town, so I took my raincoat and headed to the Ocean.

If the rain comes heavy on the coastline, it will be risky to hold any electronic devices. There are covers only 1 mile away in case I choose to move in the right direction before the rain begins.

Beach

It was exciting to be on the sand when the clouds finally flew way allowing the sunlights to hit the ground.

Beach

It is very beautiful to observe the scenery of the beach after the storm on Saturday. I believe that the waves caused the removal of this massive band of sand at this location.

Beach

I played soccer thirty meters from this location a month ago. It is amazing to see how fast the waves can drag the sand out, making way to the land.

It was a serious problem 8 miles north two years ago. The government has invested money for years to reduce this erosion and pertubation on the coast.

I walked for three hours a long the coast on the same direction. My theory was confirmed because the sand moved only in this small area location on the beach. I was glad that this phenomena was reduced and the beach ecosystem will remain stable for years.
