Greetings, dear #Literatos community. Today, I bring you another poem. This one reflects what I experienced for so many years due to my elevated cortisol levels. I still feel spikes of this harmful chemical, and I'm still recovering, but the process is slow after so many years. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it 🌸

Entre el sueño y el desvelo
Existe un fino velo
Que se desarma en la mente
De forma impaciente
🌸💜🌸
No me deja dormir
Y si duermo
Un monstruo devastador
Me despierta con un temblor
🌸💜🌸
El pánico llega
Me corta la respiración
Intento liberarme
Intento relajarme
🌸💜🌸
Pero nada me sirve
Sólo la respiración
Me aferro también a Dios
Y a San José Bendito
Para que me calme
La mente y el corazón
🌸💜🌸
Y así voy de nuevo
De un hoyo negro
A un abismo infinito
En un sendero
Dónde habita el miedo
Sin razón alguna
Y de manera inoportuna

Es con lo que lucho
Es con lo que vivo
Es con lo que lidio
En cada día vivido.

Between sleep and wakefulness
There exists a thin veil
That unravels in the mind
Impatiently

It won't let me sleep
And if I do sleep
A devastating monster
Wakes me with a tremor

Panic arrives
It takes my breath away
I try to break free
I try to relax
🌸💜🌸
But nothing helps
Only breathing
I also cling to God
And to Saint Joseph
To calm
My mind and heart
🌸💜🌸
And so I go again
From a black hole
To an infinite abyss
On a path
Where fear dwells
For no reason at all
And in an inopportune way

It is what I fight with
It is what I live with
