There’s a version of you that gets it right. When everybody else is angry or upset, you keep your mouth shut. When you speak, you try not to offend anybody. You dress nicely, you are always on time but they still come up with something to pick at, they always do.
Then there’s a version of you that doesn’t care anymore. You do what you really want, say what you really mean and wear what you want. And they find something to say about you then too.
No matter whether you are careful or careless, you are being judged. The careful version of you gets talked about,
and the careless version of you gets talked about even more. You will let somebody down from either version of you.
Not too long ago, I went to someone’s house where a conversation started about someone who was not there. What was being said was that the person who was not there did nothing wrong. But the conversation was still happening.
It is strange to think that the way you behave affects what people talk about but has nothing to do with them talking about it. That is comical if you can think about it long enough, well for me I do see humor in it
The only thing that makes sense choosing peace over all and it's not because approval will be there, not ever. People will keep trying to create something different with every chance when they reach it. They attempt to meet a judgment that never will have a finality. So please you that is reading, the last thing you want to be is a people please and chasing anyone's validation. You're not being careless at all for doing that, you're getting peace which is more valuable than validation.
